What’s on my mind? Facebook asks…i wonder what ads will follow with my answer. 😉
Hmmm, finishing my cup of coffee ☕with only the sound of the rain on the skylight, the feel of the blanket against my skin, soft and protecting me from the chill in the air.
The smell of fresh air and rain coming through the window. Clean, cool, cleansing.
The dull ache in my head, is it from the wine🍷 last night or lack of caffeine this morning.
Thoughts of laundry, small thoughts, no one will go naked soon.
Mentally preparing for the next month at work, 👩🍳earlier mornings than usual.
Am I feeling my age yet? Nope.
My chat about donuts 🍩, now craving one.
Last nights wine and pizza 🍕 party and wishing I had things cooked sooner, but hate serving cold food. I love feeding people.
Blessed for all who came and shared their time with me and meeting new people.
Missing some friends because of busy lives.
A sugar daddy would sure solve the next month at work. 🤑😉🤣 just saying.
My next cup of coffee.
Troy’s kiss goodbye this morning. The trace of water in his beard from washing his face.
How I love that man.
Asking me what’s on my mind when I’m alone in a quiet house makes you think. That’s not a bad thing. I’m grateful for it all.
Thank you all for sharing a bit of your time with me. ❤💛💜🖤
Busy Monday
Monday.
Always a busy day in my week.
This morning it is cold….again.
The weather cant seem to make up its mind.
One day it’s beautiful and 80, the next, brrrr 34 with hurricane force winds.
Its April for Pete sake.
I got out from under the covers this morning and it was cold in the house. The tip of my nose was cold, the floor beneath my bare feet and the air in general.
Coffee….needed to get that started.
I walked over a floor vent and the air is blowing cool air. I check the thermostat, its 62• in the house.
The air conditioner is on, not the heater.
Changed that in a hurry.
Change is good.
My coffee is starting to warm me up, I have a blanket wrapped around me to keep the cool air off me til it warms the house a bit.
I need to adjust a bit to the change.
Change is what we need to survive.
In every day life we run into changes, some that are inconvenient, some life altering and some we barely notice.
The change in the weather is all of those. A good freeze kills those pesky bugs, admit it, you’ve all begged for one good freeze.
The rain to give life to every growing thing.
It cant always be sunshine.
We watch our children slowly change into adults. Our once child filled homes turning into empty nests. Rooms that once echoed with laughter, fussing and loud music now silent.
Changes in attitude, relationships, the company we keep.
Change is a fact of life.
Change happens with every move of the second hand.
Look for the good in the changes in your life.
Be grateful for them.
How boring and sad would life be without change?
Don’t wait around for changes to just happen. You can make those needed changes in your life.
Step up, speak up, walk away, run into the fire, every decision you make is the change you will make.
Yes, life happens.
But you hold the steering wheel.
If you don’t like the direction you are going, change lanes, make a U-turn, speed up, slow down.
Pull over and regroup, look at your map and start over.
I need to change into work attire. And find socks. I hate wearing socks. Ugh
Have a beautiful day.

Covered porches
I dont have a covered porch. So I open my front door, pull up a chair, grab my coffee and enjoy this glorious morning rain.
I love watching the rain.
It cleans the air.
Washes away the dust.
Freshens everything up.
I know Ive talked about how tears are the same.
A good cry can make you feel amazing.
This morning I wonder, is this earth’s tears?
Washing away all the worries and panic of the past few months.
Watering down everything and making it manageable.
Washing away the overwhelming aspects of today’s world, making it bearable.
Making things new.
The sound of the gentle rain making music as it hits the porch. You can actually hear puddles being formed.
Watching the ripples as each drop hits, is like a symphony.
The birds accompany the rain, chirping with joy.
I close my eyes, breathe in deep, listen and let the hypnotic experience calm me.
God’s very own counseling session.
Complete with coffee, fur baby, cool breeze and nature’s music.
Take the time to enjoy one of life’s gifts.
Be grateful.
Rain doesn’t ruin plans,
It renews life.

Second day of the week
Another Monday and a busy one.
I have to go to the store and pick up bananas for a patient before I go in.
Its payroll Monday and order day.
Invoices and board report.
What a way to start the work week.
I started the week yesterday, Sunday, resting for the most part.
I decided to rearrange my week to start and finish by resting.
Sunday: sleep in a little and snuggle with Big Daddy. Its the only day we are off together. Brunch, movie or two on the couch. Relaxing. Building my energy for the week to come.
Really softens Mondays blow.
Monday? Meh, just another day in the week.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday…
Take care of business.
Now end my week with Saturday.
Sleep in just an hour or two later, coffee, maybe outside if its nice. Spend time alone or maybe meet a friend for brunch or shopping.
Snuggle my fur baby on the couch while watching a movie and doing laundry.
Letting my body rest and heal.
It is almost 57. I have to be a little nicer to it than I used to be.
I don’t dread Mondays.
I slide right into it, feeling great.
Rested and raring to go!
Mondays are not my beginnings, I start my day on the Lord’s day. He is the best weekly planner guide.
So, coffee, shower, produce section and office. Never a dull moment!
Life is beautiful and exciting every day.
Get out there and storm right through it.
Love Big while you are at it.

LML
It’s not often I have a little down time, which is probably a good thing. Lol. I tend to ponder life. Half a Century of good decisions and bad, lessons learned, broken hearts, babies, friends, births, marriages, deaths. It really has gone by fast. I’m told I have less time left on this planet than I’ve spent on it. Not a good thing to tell me…..
I’m always up for a challenge, and though I know immortality on earth isn’t possible, doesn’t mean I won’t act like it. 🙂
I want to see great grand children live in a peace filled world. Of course I want to keep feeding people and making them happy. I want to attend more weddings and celebrate more birthdays, my own and friends.
I want to feel the sun on my face, the moon beams in my eyes. Fall asleep to the rain on the windows while the breeze gently blows across my sheets. Dream of tomorrow and the new day God blesses me with. Grow older gracefully, but never grow old.
I want to share my time on earth with family, old friends, new friends and doing the things I love. Visit new and exciting places.
Thank you all for being a part of my life. Every moment has made me who I am.
I love my life.
Daddy’s Dog
It’s common knowledge Maddie is a “Daddy’s Dog”.
Troy Wood will do anything to keep that the status quo.
Maddie goes to the shop with him Monday thru Friday, she usually stays home with me on Saturday. Not voluntarily I might add.
While Troy is getting ready this morning, Maddie is getting excited, she has no concept it is Saturday, or she does and really doesn’t care.
While I am making coffee, I hear the conversation he is having with Maddie.
Troy: oh baby girl, you know today is Mommy daughter day. I know you dont like that, but you’ll get used to it. You know I want to take you, but Mommy needs your company too.
Seriously?????
Undermining my relationship with our fur baby!
I cant stop laughing.
And yes, she whined when he left her.
So I will get to watch her sleep all day.
I love my life! Now where is my coffee….
Mirror Magic
Is it time for some Mirror Magic?
Look into the mirror, eye to eye with that gorgeous self of yours.
Remind yourself….
You are in control.
You can overcome any obstacle.
What looks like a mountain is merely a mole hill.
The world needs what you have to offer.
You are someone elses idol.
You are desired.
You have the magic inside you.
You got this.
Some days you have to be your own cheerleader. Not everyone will pat you on the back and say great job. Not everyone will appreciate you and tell you.
There will be days you feel like you are failing from sun up to sun down.
But you are not.
With every breath, every movement, each thought and smile, you are making a difference.
You have been since the day you were born.
You started making people smile from day one, when taking your first breath, you were changing lives, giving purpose.
That’s pretty special if you ask me.
Tell yourself that every day.
You are the reason.
You are special.
Yes, the world revolves around you every day.
So finish that coffee, throw back those shoulders and get out there.
Go make a difference.
Go change the world.
Love Big

Strange dreams
I had a strange dream last night. Emergency vehicles, helicopters with people hanging on for dear life, I mean a crazy amount. It was a big helicopter like the Chinook. Both side doors open and full of people dressed in summer clothes. It was landing close by where we were.
Then a different kind, a smaller medical chopper was landing in a square that looked like it was just for that purpose. Very close to us.
Something bad was happening somewhere.
They didn’t seem hurt, but in a panic.
In my dream I felt like they were being rescued from a place. Maybe a cruise ship or some other vacation type place. And in a hurry!
Crazy how your mind works.
I had to write this down so I wouldn’t forget. I had a few weird dreams last night. To include one about a tree. Called the learned tree. Women were arguing about who would get to go to it. It seemed they would have immortality if they were chosen.
Anyway. I need coffee.
And a dream interpretation lol
Have a great Saturday!

Stuff
I noticed my hamper this morning, it was more than full. Just my clothes, Troy had his own basket, he has shop dirt on his. Anyway. I realized I didn’t do my laundry last weekend and still have clothes to wear.
I am at work 5 days a week and do not wear a uniform or scrubs. Office attire for the most part except maybe truck day.
I have a closet full of clothes.
Now, some are older than some of you reading this. I keep them for sentimental reasons, a concert tee, senior shirt.
Some I have out grown and think I will fit back into again. Some that are way too big.
Yet every morning I stand in my closet frustrated because I have nothing to wear. Can someone explain that to me?
When I finally find something I cant decide which black shoes to wear.
You read that right. I probably have 6 pairs. Just black.
None of which are new.
I haven’t clothes shopped in a while.
I look around my house sometimes at what we have accumulated over the years. Books, movies.
Things.
Just things.
Some dusted covered now and I shake my head.
All I can think is, this stuff used to be money.
I guess with age and maturity you start looking at things differently. I don’t need anymore stuff.
I need relationships.
Quiet time
Conversations
Prayers
And yes, coffee
Seriously
Don’t wait til late in life to reevaluate what you truly need. Get a head start now and you will feel the happiness.
Stop surrounding yourself with too much stuff. You don’t have to prove to anyone you are a success. You already know that.
Start surrounding yourself with what’s important.
Laughter
Family
Friends
Calm
And peace
Oh and Big Love
Some people will search for and buy happiness.
Some of us will create it.
Get to creating!

Cup of sanity
Some days I wonder if there is enough coffee to fix it all.
Having a bad day?
Drink a cup of coffee.
Kids misbehaving?
Snack time with iced coffee.
Garden wont grow?
Water it with coffee.
Wrinkles? Cellulite?
Coffee ground mud paste.
Sore muscles?
Soak in a hot espresso bath……
If only.
With everything that is going on in the world today, I just want to yell from a mountain top….
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
DRINK YOUR COFFEE AND LETS GET BACK TO NORMAL!
A magic elixir to cure it all.
The aroma of Roasting coffee beans wafting through the air, filtering out all the impurities.
A cup a day to maintain perfect health.
Perfect attitude.
Perfect mindset.
Something so natural and so simple to heal the world.
Perfect with company.
Sharing thoughts and ideas while sipping and enjoying the soothing effects.
Coffee
It’s been my cure all for years.
Saved many a life, or in the least, jobs.
And my sanity.
Raise a cup with me today! ☕☕☕
Sip and pray for the healing of this world we live in. Dedicate that cup to meditation, prayer and focus on the rebirth and health of our nation.
All the good things.
You will bring about what you speak about.
Sip and Love Big.
☕☕ cheers my friends, to our future!
It will be bright,
tomorrow is a new day!!
